Consider the number of times you have been really mad about something and wanted to complain. Say, a truck cutting you off on the highway, a product that was defective, a clerk whose attitude wasn't nice, etc. You tell yourself, this time when I get home, I'm going to complain. But you don't. People rarely complain where it matters. Many companies take complaints very seriously because one complaint represents one hundred people who didn't take the time and effort to complain. ReBath didn't take our complaint seriously. They blew us off. ReBath then complained about this page. ReBath never inquired about the complaints. Bad, bad ReBath. In fact, the only response to our letter of complaint to Re-Bath Corporate was a Cease & Desist demand from their half-baked lawyer, David Rosenblum of David Rosenblum & Associates, P.C., based in some Pennsylvania town called Trevose. We were not impressed. We will never use them again nor do we recommend that you ever use them. Sending a complaint to Re-Bath is a waste of time.

If Corporate doesn't care how can you expect the local office to care? As inept, unprofessional, dishonest and disorganized as the Colorado Springs office of Re-Bath was, we find it totally incomprehensible that Re-Bath Corporate had not received a single complaint about them prior to ours. Re-Bath Corporate had to know how bad the Colorado Springs office was. Re-Bath Corporate knew and did nothing. Re-Bath Corporate did not care except when it came to the monthly checks coming to them. If the home office does not care, how can anyone reasonably expect the local offices to care?

When we sent a detailed complaint letter to ReBath Corporate what we got in return was a poorly written cease and desist letter. As far as we are concerned, ReBath Corporate is just as incompetent as ReBath of Colorado Springs and just as responsible for this mess. If Corporate doesn't care about the quality of work done, who will? And, we feel ReBath violated almost all consumer protection laws in any state. Not only were there flagrant bait and switch tactics and rampant failure to perform to contract but we were shown glitzy catalogs from which to select cabinets and such only to be told they install only what is in stock at Lowes. Lies, lies and more lies. All documented below.

We have collected all of the Re-Bath complaints we could find on the internet. All in one spot for your reading pleasure including our story which in very long and detailed. After you read this we think you will agree with us and say Dave Fleming is a liar and a crook.

We cannot verify the accuracy of these complaints we have gathered. Some were posted on blogs. In some cases responses were posted. Some of the responses came from people claiming to be affiliated with Re-Bath. Their explanations for what happened leave something to be desired. If you read the responses, bear in mind one of the consistent complaints was how much the Re-Bath people lied. We know they lie: we were lied repeatedly to by the owner, the manager, the secretary, the sales rep and the workmen. We therefore do not believe these postings by the Re-Bath representatives. They sound just like the lies we were told.

Remember, most people do not take the time to actually complain. These complaints represent many more people who have not written down their problems. Most titles come from the postings. There are twenty-one complaints here, some with follow-up comments that are in agreement with them. Here are the complaints in chronological order:

  • Klein Reveals Consumer Scam Against Homeowners, March 13, 2005. New York State Senator Jeffery Klein exposes Re-Bath of the Bronx is ripping off customers.

  • Hamden CT Nightmare, July 1, 2005. Re-Bath of Hamden, CT incorrectly installed a new tub-shower unit, the new drain system leaked and damaged the ceiling and a light fixture in kitchen.

  • A warning about Re-Bath, March 6, 2006. Ron Goldman of Woodman Washington complains about Re-bath..

  • Home Depot & Re-Bath of Connecticut, July 18, 2006. ReBath of Connecticut was late and ultimately botched the work on behalf of Home Depot who was not responding to complaints.

  • Retile or Reface? May 10, 2007, from Home Savvi web site. The "one day makeover" took over nine months. The couple got pregnant and had a child before Re-Bath completed the job. "We never got the shower door we wanted and not once did the owner of the franchise call to talk......" sure sounds familiar.

  • Local Thieves Posing As Re Bath Take Your Deposit And Avoid You, June 16, 2007. Orlando Florida office of Re-Bath botches the job big time. Took the man's money and lied, and lied and lied.

  • Warning about Re-Bath, December 18, 2007. Ron Goldman announced he has a settlement with Re-Bath and cannot say anything further about the bad work they did.

  • Our story which in very long and very detailed. Begins in March 2008 through September 2008 for a one-day bathroom remodel. More than ome-half year and was not finished. The Colorado Springs office lied, and lied, and lied.

  • Poor Quality And Service, June 24, 2008. Sub par work, cracked marble floor and arrogant, nasty and abusive on the phone. New York office.

  • Sacramento Remodeling Company Takes Deposit, Doesn't Do Work, August 8, 2008. Re-Bath would not refund deposit after not showing up to do the work until a TV station got involved. They claimed the check was in the mail.

  • Bad Salesman, August 23, 2008. Re-Bath of Salt Lake City Utah needs to train their salemen better. Potential customer complaines, "I have never been treated like this by anyone". Also has three follow-up comments, all bad.

  • Re-Bath LLC ordered no parts, did no work, August 26, 2008. Kevin of Reston Virginia complains. Crystal, daughter of Glen Carwile, mouths off coming to the defense of daddy who was an employee at Rebath by Weatherly. Her defense appears to revolve around the fact her daddy was dead and she was sure he would never do anything of the nasty things claimed by Kevin. Crystal gets The Kleenix Award For 2009.

  • Rebath a scam and waste of time, posted September 26, 2008. Customer thought sales rep was rude and prices were too high and decided not to use them.

  • Rebath Of DFW Ripped off Vet Carrollton Texas, November 11, 2008. Disabled vet wanted his money back after finding how over-priced the new shower was. ReBath of Dallas/Fort Worth refused to refund his deposit of $3,250 even though no work had been done. Shower was installed but floor is so slick he has trouble standing up. ReBath of Dallas/Fort Worth refused to do anything about it

  • Service is horrible, December 17, 2008. Unhappy customer in New Jersey?

  • Tale Of Three Cities, December 17, 2008.
    Bruce of Griffith, Indiana says shower base bounces like a trampoline and is unsafe. Re-Bath Corporate does not appear to care.
    Nancy of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, February 20, 2009, reports Re-Bath ordered wrong size shower base and tried to force it. They left the sink in the hall bathroom unfinished after lying about what they had done to switch the doors and drawers around because of the interference with the water valves. Rotten job, still unfinished.
    Larry of Powell, Ohio, January 18, 2009, says ReBath was rude on the phone and sent an arrogant ReBath representative. He didn't sign.

  • Re-Bath reviews: Just slightly suspicious?, February 28, 2009. YELP thread about some suspicious positive postings about Re-Bath. And we agree with the genral tone of the thread: Dave Fleming is a liar and a crook.

  • Rebath screwed up order, no discount, covered big mistake, April 1, 2009. Bathtub took a year, promised discount was a lie and they damaged floor. This Re-Bath office trolls the Puyallup Fair in Washington State for victims. Puyallup is 35 miles south of Seattle and 10 miles east of Tacoma so we're not sure which office did this.

  • Rebath takes deposits does no work closes doors - Bathroom Remodeling, Junel61, 2009. Rebath of Colorado Springs took her money but didn't do the work.

Based upon the attitude of Re-Bath Corporate, we would expect they all are as incompetent as Re-Bath Colorado Springs. Possibly worse. But we don't know. Use them at your own risk.
