Hello Karen!

How are you? I found myself in an interesting situation this morning. I was VERoed by the Scott Boras corporation for making a "Damon Sucks" onesie (takedown attached below).

Scott boras is the agent for Johnny Damon. Accoring to the company I use to print my items (they have a very stringent trademark/copyright policy and will not print anything they feel is infringing), I am allowed by "fair use" to make critical or commentary about public figures. For example, it is 100% OK to make a "Bush Sucks" or "Kerry Sucks" shirt and sell it, as those two are public figures, as is Johnny Damon.

I searched for both a trademarke and copyright on both "johnny Damon" and "damon sucks" and I couldn't find one.

I am wondering what you think about this. I will also attach a picture of the offending item. God, I really hope I didn;t infringe, as I have always been very careful, but Scott Boras is known for being very tough, so I want to make sure I have all my ducks in a row.

Thank-You so much for any advice you can give me!

~Ann~
