Hello,

Thank you for taking the time to write eBay with your concerns. I'm happy to help you further.

First of all, please know that listings found in a repeat violation of our guidelines are always ended and removed from our site. You were warned numerous times for Inappropriate Category since May 18th. You were warned for the Search Manipulation violation this time. Please be aware that because the requested changes were not made to your listings per our previous requests, all of your current listings in violation for Inappropriate Category were removed from eBay and your account is being reviewed for additional action.

Secondly, it's important to note that a report does not necessarily translate into an auction removal. If a violation is found, this may result in a warning to the seller or the removal of the auction listing. If the listing has ended at the time we review it, the listing may remain on the site, however you should not take this to mean that action was not taken. As a courtesy, Sellers are issued warnings for listings found to be in violation of our listing policies or User Agreement conditions. However, future listings that demonstrate a pattern of violations may result in the termination of all of your listings, and repeated occurrences may jeopardize your eBay account status.

To clarify, our Search Manipulation policy states in regards to specific words used in a general wholesale item:

"Compilations and informational items: Listings that include compilations or informational content on any media are subject to the following restrictions:

* Any listing that offers general wholesale items may not use any specific brand or keywords words in the title.

This is an issue with the manipulation of our search engine. By containing "Louis Vuitton" in the title of a general information item, it brings all members looking for Louis Vuitton items to your auction, regardless of their wishes, and is an unfair use of the brand name. This is not permitted as you're not actually selling the brand name item. Instead you're selling information on how to authenticate such brand name items. The only time you would be allowed to reference the specific brand name in the title, ie. Louis Vuitton, Prada, or Coach is when you're actually selling that item.

You are welcome to list your item as a "Handbag authentication ebook", "Designer Handbag List", or "Designer Handbag buying guide", but you may not use a brand name in the title of a wholesale list to draw attention to it.
