Scientology. Another word for "goofy". And another way of saying, "These people are carzy." Their web site is located at http://www.scientology.org/.
You really have to wonder about a "church" whose headquarters is located at 6331 Hollywood Blvd, Los Angeles, CA 90028. The Catholics have
a headquarters: Rome. The Mormons have a headquarters: Salt Lake City. The Jews have a headquarters: Tel Aviv. The Muslims have Mecca.
We are betting virtually every legitimate religion has some sort of "site" or place that they revere and use as a headquarters. The Chuch of Scientology
has a boutique on Hollywood Boulevard. They would have chosen Rodeo Drive but there were no long term spaces available.
And what is "dianetics"? Sounds like some cheap diet plan being marketed on cable TV by some huckster shouting at you throughout the entire commercial.
And what legitimate religion has to constantly sue former members to prevent them from revealing thier "secrets"?
So, you intelligently inquire, whatever has the Chuch of Scientology done to deserve enshrinement in these hallowed pages? We do not discriminate
against anyone based upon their claimed religious beliefs. This pseudo-religion is run by some whack jobs who don't appear to care if they trample on the rights of
internet sellers. While we admit that the Constitution does not refer to the internet or the selling of merchandise on the internet,
sellers do have certain federal rights which the Chuch of Scientology and the whack jobs running it think do not apply to them.
We have received some complaints over the years about the Chuch of Scientology but because the complainers never were willing
to back their complaints with documentation we were unwilling to add the Chuch of Scientology to the Tabberone Trademark & Copyright Abusers'
Hall of Shame. At the time the complaints were that the Chuch of Scientology was improperly terminating auctions of a book that was critical of
the Chuch of Scientology.
Now, that has changed. An article by Scott Pilutik,
Scientology abuses eBay's VeRO program to practice religious, price discrimination, supported by other articles like
Scientology: eBay E-Meter Auctions Yanked, from Slashdot.org, has given us the
push to add them.

Larry, affectionately called L Ron Hubbard by his admirers, started this "cult" in the 1950's. Other than an occasional newpaper article
here and there, we really didn't pay much attention to this group until Moe, known in Hollywood as John Travolta, became publicly linked
to them a few years ago. Then, they gained more publicity when Curly, known in the scandal rags as Tom Cruise, came out of the closet and admited
he was one of them.
