He said that Springs Industries was just interested in pulling the items that someone has a license for... so I started asking what, "clocks, switch covers, lamps, drawer pulls". I said that I knew about those... he said that he did see an auction for drawer pulls and it was an image that was a teddy bear in overalls and "looked" like BJT but wasnt their materials! I said that you cant take an image and recreate it. He told Tina (eltuco) that she could handpaint them. He told Tina she was stealing the images. With me he was more willing to work with me to get this resolved. He said that he "heard about me and he knows I have agreements with Disney and other companies to sell their fans." He said they are looking to come to some sort of agreement without getting into a battle. He said that this was a lot larger than they had expected, that they opened Pandoras box. He needs to go back to Springs and figure out if they want to spend the time and money to hire someone full time to just police ebay. He doesnt htink they will... he said he had no idea all that existed. I said its a whole new world today! He said they have no problem with fabric. I said in todays world, border is just like fabric, people are using it the same way they are fabric. He thinks they will allow the fans to continue, but not clocks or any other items that someone has a license on. He didnt pull my auctions and said he wont until they can come to some sort of agreement. The funny thing is, he agrees with my(your) stance with the first sale doctrine. He said he never heard of it until he found your website. He said he would be communicating to his boss about that and allowing us to sell. Who knows, I told him its not about income for me, its about principle. Even if I sell just 1 in 3 months, if legally I can sell it, I will.. He said they dont want to fight people in court or anything... so we shall see... he is supposed to contact me today. BTW, any new legal issues for you? Any more pulled? Or are you being a good little girl? Steph
