I am the Director of Designer Relations for Leisure Arts, Inc. The below message was forwarded to us by one of our customers. It appears that the original designer (Sharon Teal-Coray) of some artwork that we published, complained to EBay and as a result, "wittywife" had her auction (#8250006317) shut down. I was under the impression that the copyright owner was the only one that could have an auction halted. I am not an expert on copyright laws, but I do know that we, Leisure Arts, Inc. own the copyright to the books that "wittywife" was selling in this auction. She bought the books from us on the up and up. In our opinion, she was conducting legitimate business. I understand that once you have 2 marks against you on EBay, your account is suspended and you can no longer sell. I am asking that in light of the information above, that you not hold this against "wittywife". Please let me know if you have any questions or if there is anything else I can do to assist in this situation. Thank you,
Debra Nettles |
