It is not a pretty story. In addition to NorthStar not providing the home purchased, NorthStar has billed him for
subsequent work never done. When he refused to pay, NorthStar turned the bogus bill over to a collection agency in
California Trans World Systems, Inc.
He has nothing positive to say about Grand West Financial or it's CEO, Kevin Marks. And, his opinion is that
Pike's Peak Title isn't as removed from the misdealings as they (Pike's Peak Title) would like everyone to believe.
On the positive side, he said that after complaining to Summit Crest Homes, a work crew was sent to his house.
The crew, sub-contractors from Canon City, spent two days fixing the problems that NorthStar should have fixed in the
first place. He has mostly praise for the way Summit Crest handled the situation.
Ted Dura and his wife live in Arvada, Colorado. They bought a weekend home from NorthStar. The home is located near
Cripple Creek. They closed on the house March, 2000. The financing broker was Grand West Financial.
