Urban Nutrition Hall Of Shame Member Added February 4, 2009 |
Urban Nutrition and their Cyber Cop, OpSec Security, now join these pages for their exaggerations and lies.
In February 2009, OpSec Security ordered an auction terminated for authentic Hydroxatone anti-wrinkle cream made by
Urban Nutrition. The seller received it in a gift pack at a well-known film festival.
The problem here is that Urban Nutrition, through their Cyber Cop OpSec Security, are not responding to questions from the eBay seller as to why the auction was terminated. OpSec Security was given by eBay as the contact email, nutrition_enforcement@opsecsecurity.com, so presumably they are the VeRO member agent acting on behalf of Urban Nutrition. According to eBay, Urban Nutrition, through their Cyber Cop OpSec Security, ordered the auction terminated because it was a "counterfeit or unauthorized replica". Now, imagine you own a large and somewhat successful cosmetics and health glop business, like perhaps Urban Nutrition, and you, or your agent discovers someone selling "counterfeit or unauthorized replicas" of your products. Would you not go after them full force to stop them, or their supplier from the manufacture of these fakes? Of course you would. But Urban Nutrition, through their Cyber Cop OpSec Security, have not. They didn't even inquire as to the source of the Hydroxatone or threaten the seller to make him stop. Why not? Because they know the product isn't a "counterfeit or unauthorized replica", that's why. They lied to eBay to stop the seller from selling the product on the internet. There's no other plausible explanation based upon their actions. OpSec Security probably has some minimum wage refugee trolling the internet for sales such as these. Do you really think that this person, or anyone else at OpSec Security is really qualified to look at an auction and determine if the product is a "counterfeit or unauthorized replica"? But they're cyber cops and they get paid to shut down auctions by their clients and we don't think they really care one wit why the auction is being terminated just so they get that paycheck. Auction terminated = payday. Simple math. Another thing that makes us very suspicious is their web site, hydroxatone.com, which is registered anonymously. It is our opinion that any company who hides their identity in this manner is not to be trusted, much less believed. |
