G'day For the last 4 years I have been using a simple way of marking my designs, as a digitiser, I created a number and alphabetical system using stitches, which I inserted into designs. basically marking them.
When I was first approached to use the Omega system I declined, as I had already a successful program in place and i didnt want to try something new.
Using my marking system I discovered 5 of my customers sharing my designs, one of them was in my membership club, she and I will meet next year in court in the USA. But that's another story, I will tell later. For years now digitisers have been marking their designs in some way. For the last 2 years, digitisers have been coming together and working as one. With the Omega Delta program, each designer, has a specific code entered into the system, they cannot add more than 20 designers to this program, but there is a second, third and forth program that will take another 20 digitisers for each one. I can tell you the designers who use the Omega Delta program do not use this program for all their designs to all their customers.
The "corporation" which Anne Heath belongs to, have identified 70 plus people sharing designs and programs, when one of these confirmed sharers
buys something from the 20, then and only then is the file inserted into the design, which is then sent to the sharer. I have always supported to Corporation in their goals, but I have a sick family member and was thinking of letting someone else take my place, but after receiving death threats today, by anonymous emails, I am rethinking that I should stay with this, and continue to support this. On a last note, this is not just a few digitisers, there are just under 300 digitisers now, who are tired of people buying our designs and reselling them to their friends, then sharing them with several others. If you were a digitiser who relied on income, what would you do?
