Let us begin with the Loehman's Store tag that is attached to the Diane von Furstenberg dress.
Does anyone seriously believe that the Loehmann Store in the Fair Oaks Shopping Center in Fairfax, Virginia, is selling counterfeits?
Fair Oaks is very upscale and certainly would not tolerate such criminal activity. The claims by SIPI on behalf of Diane von Furstenberg
that the listing was terminated "it bears counterfeit Diane von Furstenberg (DvF)trademarks and also infringes design rights and copyright owned by the brand"
is actually defamation lodged against Loehmann's.
Loehmann's is a well-established (90 years old this year!) company whose reputation would be ruined if they sold fakes (they sell Dolce & Gabbana, Valentino, etc.).
We sure Loehmann's corporate buyers would be outraged to learn that Diane von Furstenberg has been selling fakes to their 30+ store chain.
