Embroidery Protection Coalition 12200 Airport Freeway Suite 422 Bedford, TX 76022 682 503-8513 www.embroideryprotection.org RE: Settlement Agreement Dear ESPC: This offer of settlement is good until hell freezes over. Upon receipt of a signed copy of this agreement, I promise to stop sticking little pins into the likeness doll of Martin Farve and Carole Faulkner I keep in my sewing room. Your headaches, backaches and stomach aches should soon cease thereafter. Whereas, it is the position of the Embroidery Software Protection Coalition (“ESPC”) that I have violated copyright law by unknowingly purchasing what may have been counterfeit embroidery software, but the ESPC will not, or cannot point to any specific federal copyright law paragraph or federal court case that states unknowingly purchasing counterfeit copyrighted material is in of itself a violation of the copyright laws; And Whereas, I categorically deny knowing the embroidery software I purchased was counterfeit before I purchased it and that I did not copy, sell, attempt to sell or otherwise distribute any copies of the software or the embroidered end product from the software I purchased; And Whereas, the ESPC is engaged in copyright extortion by making unsubstantiated accusations of federal copyright infringement and threats of federal lawsuits if I do not pay the $300.00 demanded by them; And Whereas, I will file federal, state and bar associations claims of misconduct, stalking, unethical conduct and criminal extortion should the EPSC ever again bother me in any manner. Agreed to and accepted on this ______ day of ______________, 2009. Signed,
