Do You Need A Lawyer? |
In a word; Yes.
That said, do you need a lawyer? No. depending. If you have a business that is incorporated, or registered with the State, you must have a lawyer in most states and you must have a lawyer in Federal Court and in most state courts. If your small business is like ours, out of the house and not incorporated, you can represent yourselves. We tried to get a lawyer when we were attacked by M&M/Mars in 2001. We tried, and tried. Over and over we were told to forget it, we couldn't win. No lawyer wanted our case. We weren't going to simply give in. We used the internet. Hours and hours of searching. The stuff is out there. It takes time to locate. We have made our research available for those who might have a similar need. To represent yourself takes time, an emotional toll, and resolve. You can do it. It won't be easy but the alternative of surrender has it's toll as well. |
