Brandon Poole, USN, in an email, copied in one Kara Davis, who represents herself as a paralegal.
We believe he copied her in as a recipient to intimidate us. It failed, badly.
We emailed her to inquire as to her "real" status as a paralegal. From what we can see, there is no Kara Davis registered with the State of California as a paralegal.
Her somewhat snotty response on Saturday, December 29, 2007, lacks substance.
The military does not get involved in non-military civil cases as she claims is the case. She asserts the Pooles have
"a very strong case" concerning the web site. She also makes assertions about some things being "required by law" that sound hollow.
She also advises us to "consult an attorney regarding this matter". Kara, we have. And, guess what? He doesn't see the defamation you and the
Pooles see.
Her second email, somewhat unexpected, arrived on Wednesday, January 2, 2008. We forwarded it
to a lawyer. His comments echo ours:
"A bunch of pseudo-legal mumbo jumbo and half-baked threats. I assume you'll notify the Navy that it has apparently agreed to
represent these people in private litigation? I have little doubt that the statement is blatantly false."
Say it isn't so, Kara! Are you, what are the words we want here, as obviously full of crap as you sound?
We got a second opinion and it's unanimous; you're way off base. Not only is it likely the Navy representation claim is false, but your
claim we emailed people through eBay who have had transactions with Andrea and Brandon Poole (USN) is an out-and-out lie. Either your clients,
Andrea and Brandon Poole (USN), have lied to you or you are aiding and abetting them in fabricating false evidence. Which is it, Kara?
Or do you even know?
We believe Kara Davis to be a couple toys short of a Happy Meal. She might be sharing the same voices that Andrea hears.
That opinion was reinforced January 4, when we received an email from JAG that indicated Kara Davis was lying. Why are we not surprised?
