Charlotte Perman
a.k.a. Spoiled Brat |
On Tuesday, October 9, 2007, we were surprised to receive an email from one Charlotte Perman who claimed to be the daughter of Ray Perman,
owner of Sevenarts, Ltd, whom we sued over the use of the Betty Boop fabric. She wanted to rebut our comments on this web site about her precious daddy.
From our communications with her, we believe she is a few fries short of a happy meal.
We received three emails from her before she decided to stifle. She accused us of a wide variety of offenses including, but not limited to, anti-Semitism, copyright infringement, bad manners, taking quotes out of context, being discourteous, and being highly offensive. She closed with a snipe we couldn't let pass and we got into our name-calling mode, calling her a bitch. Actually, snotty bitch would have been more accurate. Now that the case has progressed past the 10th District Court of Appeals, where we won, we are granting her request to have her "rebuttal" posted on the web site. In doing so, we retain the right to comment on her accusations, and we do so. Her three emails are presented in full with our comments added using links. You are free to view the comments if you wish by clicking on the links. Her tone mimicks that of her father's superior dismissive attitude. She claims we quoted things out of context without pointing to specifics. We challange her to show us where we mis-quoted her father or anyone else. We do wonder if she had an ulterior motive for emailing us. But then, who else would claim they were related to Ray Perman, whom we describe as an effite snob. If she did have a motive, beyond sounding stupid, we believe she did a poor job of pleading his case. In any event, here are her emails:
